The city of Potterville is located in the mid-eastern section of Eaton County and about 12 miles from Lansing. The city has easy access to interstate I-69 which links Potterville with
I-94 and I-96.

Potterville has a small business district that contains several small stores, unique shops and restaurants, along with a grain elevator situated on a still active railroad line.  Fox park offers swimming, picnicking and a children's playground. The city is famous for its annual "Gizzard Fest" held the weekend of Father's Day each year.
