The Village of Dimondale is located southwest of Lansing in Eaton County on a bend of the Grand River. It lies a couple miles south of the intersection of I-96 and US-27 and is situated on the Grand River.

Dimondale functions primarily as a bedroom community to the greater Lansing area, which is just a few miles to the north. Supported by a few small businesses, it has retained much of its turn-of-the-century architecture on Main Street.

Dimondale remains a quaint community with tree-lined streets steeped in history. Its residents enjoy the small town atmosphere while enjoying the amenities of a larger metro area. Dimondale is served by the Holt School District and an elementary school is located within the Village.
