Clinton County

Clinton County is located just north of Lansing.
It is mainly agricultural and is known for its production of mint, soybeans, corn, milk and cattle raising. The growing of spearmint and peppermint is unique to this area and the county ranks first in the production of mint in Michigan, with approximately 5,000 acres of mint farmed annually. The St. Johns Mint Festival is held in August each year to celebrate the county's mint farming heritage.

The county offers many recreational opportunities, providing residents and guests a variety of indoor and outdoor fun. Points of interest include the Maple River State Game, historic Ovid with its vintage turn-of-the-century architecture, and the Looking Glass River flowing through Wacousta and DeWitt.
